December

December was a really good month it started with a lot of snow... But that melted about halfway through the month and then it was just cold but sunny.

We had quite a few Cows get sick when we brought a load of heifers in from Utah a few of them died before they even got settled we were a little disappointed with that transaction because they were sick on arrival but what can you do that's just part of it. Other than that they're doing well. It's fun to go out with Jon and work with them. I really love cows would I never thought I would hahaha never thought I'd be living out in the country with a bunch of cattle but what a life, I couldn't ask for anything better.

I'd say it's crazy that the year is almost over but to be honest this year has not flown by for me. everyone's like OMG I can't believe it's already December but every month has just kind of taken its time and I've really been enjoying each and every moment of this year.

Because we have cows this year, Jon was only able to come down to Utah for Christmas on Christmas day. I had work off so I decided to go down early and hang out with Liz and my family. I decided to do a little something drastic.

I was sooo nervous to do this, but I love how it turned out! It took a lot of convincing but Jon finally decided he would be okay with me changing my hair lol and he actually likes it! It's a Christmas miracle!

Before I left for Utah, since Jon and I wouldn't be together Christmas morning I opened all my gifts from him a few days early, lookin fly as always.

I also made the BEST caramel popcorn ever as our neighbor gifts.

I think Jon enjoyed it.

November

November was awesome! We welcomed the snow pretty early... but luckily it didn't last too long. Don't get me wrong, I love snow! and am very thankful for moisture! But I prefer snow mostly just in Decemeber haha

Jon had been pretty busy with work so we hadn't had very many date nights so we decided it was about time. We went bowling at the cute little place in town, it was a Saturday night and when we first got there we were the only ones there!

 But after our 1st game it filled up really quick and turned into cosmic bowling which I LOVE. It has been years since ive been cosmic bowling.

Jon and I ALWAYS make bets when we go bowling. It's something we've been doing since we were dating. So that night we continued the tradition. Jon wanted to go see the new THOR movie, and I did not. So the bet was if he won, we went and saw that afterwards, and if I won.. we didn't lol. So.. of course he won, like always and we went and saw THOR and I was so glad we did, it was great!! They did a really good job on the movie and it was pretty funny!!

Living in the house is nice. I take baths almost every night haha that is what I have missed most about living in a house for sure!. I also cook wayyy more now that we have a big kitchen. Me and the cat are bffs. we snuggle a lot.

Are you ready for a crap ton of pictures of cows? In November we did our BIG brand. We branded ALL the cows and calves and tagged and vaccinated. The whole thing took us 2 days, but it was great! We had both our families come up to help, and the weather was actually really nice! a little chilly but not miserable. It was a lot of fun! Country life is best!
Over all there were around 160 cows.

There were 2 calves that were not quite as active as the others, they were laying down most of the day, one was born that day so he was brand new, and the other was a twin, and she was really small and the cutest thing ever. So naturally I took a lot of selfies with them.

Even my mom came up and helped! she was pro at filling immunizations, and she didn't even cry when the cows screamed! very proud of her.

My dad came too! He manned the branding iron rotation. I was super grateful for him, my mom and Johnny coming up to help!

We enjoyed thanksgiving very much. Of course we had to go down for the annual trap shoot. 

And Jon won!! Woo woo he's such a stud!

We ate lots of turkey and counted our blessings, we have so much to be thankful for! It was a wonderful thanksgiving!

I decided to get my pinterest on and make some banana bread for my boss and co-worker. Pretty cute if I do say so myself! Oh I'm so trendy.
