March

It's March!! oh the madness! Speaking of March Madness, I havent watched any of it, so I won't be talking about that at all.
So March, it came in like a lion!!

Hopefully it goes out like a lamb!
We finally checked out the local mexican restaurant in town and it was delish!!

I am super grateful for a husband who can finish all the food I cant.

He's a champ.

So um, big news, we bought a house!
Surprise! (is it really a surprise though, i mean, aside from dog trading ((which we'll talk about later)) moving is the most consistent thing in our marriage. haha

The house is pretty outdated so we have been doing some remodeling before we move in, it's been fun having projects!

Here's a pic of jon tearing down the terrible wallpaper in the front room.
One of the bedrooms is BRIGHT GREEN.

It's even more bright in person, if you can imagine. It's like an instant headache as soon as you walk in. But that was one of my first projects, so it is already repainted (thanks Misty!!)

Also Jon is totally awesome and took it upon himself to redo our kitchen counters! They were a terrible yellow, with brown paint spatters (WHY?!?!) Don't mind the TEAL walls with gold foil accents.. again.. WHY!? That remodel will come later... anyway, here is the before

Jon loves the idea of granite counter tops so he decided the do the  faux granite..

The after...

I love it!!

Here is our awesome fire place which i'm stoked about! and also Jon looking like a genie.

Jon has been a big help with the remodel

A really big help...

Anyway i'll post more pics when we get more done. Im really excited though, it's in a beautiful location- view out my front porch-

Anyway on to the dog story. So we got Pete a few months ago and he's been helping Jon with cows and we have really liked having him, but unfortunately he killed some chickens so we had to get rid of him. So we are currently dogless. I wonder how long it'll last

Here's some pics of the cat-

She tried coming onto my lap, i said no, and she literally just head butted me and held her head there for like 30 seconds.

And she always comes into the bathroom whenever i am taking a bath.

Anddd here's a pic of Jon with a calf on his lap.

So i'm pretty upset this month, there were multiple occasions where jon said so many TOTALLY quote-worthy moments buttt I didnt have my phone on me so i didnt write them down then i forgot :( :( :( so his one and only this month-
(me taking a picture of Jon while he was painting the wall in the picture above)
Jon: "Are you taking a picture of me..? In my cute sweater?"

Next month is my return to social media after one year without it!

February 2018

Then month of love! Since I wasn't on social media for Valentine's day to gush about how much I love my husband and post the annoying, "my sweet husband had flowers delivered to my work" photo..
Woops how'd that get there?

Anyway. Like i said. Since i wast on social  media ill do it now. You guys. Jon is great. I love him more than I've ever loved anyone or anything. And I know that's not saying much because I'm a very unemotional person haha BUT the fact is that I love him.
Some of you might not know him very well. Which, if that's the case, you're missing out. I thought since this was the month of love, I would share 3 facts about Jon so you can get to know him a little better, which in turn, will bring you one step closer to my level of love for him. (Don't get too close though, I'll fight ya!)
1. Jon is a terrible dancer. Actually hold up, he can country swing dance. But anything that has a beat- the rhythm is just not in him. Sometimes it's so hard to watch (mind you, he only dances in front of me because he knows it's terrible and is just trying to make me laugh) I don't get embarrassed easily. 99.9% of the time I'm the one embarrassing him. But it's so painful to watch, even when it's just us two, I can't help but laugh uncontrollably because of how embarrassed i am.
2. Jon is incredibly strong. Not like, my husband can bench press blah blah amount but there have been countless events where he has lifted, pushed, carried something that no single human should be able to do by themselves and you just watch him like what the hulk?!
3. He has endless stamina while hunting. I specified while hunting, because like any human, he does get tired after normal strenuous doings. But when hunting season rolls around he is the Energizer Bunny. Jon doesn't believe in traditional exercise (going to the gym, going for a run, etc) he works outside full time so he is in pretty good shape year round, but during hunting he transforms. He can literally go all day running up and down mountains. ALL DAY. I  get winded running up the stairs. No wonder his family gave him the nick name Boom boom the wild man.
So there you have it. 3 simple facts, and 3 of the million things I love about Jon. He's a good one.

Anyway, on to February!
Cows galore. I love them all. Here is a pic of one of the new calves and he's gray!! Seriously so pretty he doesn't even look real! Pics don't do him Justice.

We had another calf born and she wasn't doing great, she had hypothermia, so naturally we gave her a warm bath then blow dried herπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I loved every second of it.

Jon finally bonded a little more with the cat.

AND I joined a volleyball league! It's been SO fun to play again!!
Our first game was the last day of the month an i LOVED IT! i of course am sore beyond all reason, but i didnt realize how much i missed volleyball. it was a blast!
i forgot to take any pictures but i'll for sure get some next time.

Welp, thats it for Feb, short and sweet!

Quotes from Jon:

"Ever since you turned 26 you've just been acting... older."

"You're way prettier than me"

"I hate playing the Spurs because they're all ugly"
