I teach yoga on thursday nights at the gym too so that is fun!
I thought it would be a fun idea to do sort of a "Book of Mormon reading challenge" with Jon. Not only to encourage us to read everyday but to delve a little deeper into the BOM instead of just hurridly reading a few verses before bed. So i got us each a paperback copy and a box of crayons and we read a chapter every day together mark things that stand out to us. Then next year we will swap and read eachother's copies and see the different places each person marked. Im excited.
In other news, I actually stayed up until midnight this year on new years, which never happens. The last new years i remember being semi awake was the year Jon and I were engaged and i fell asleep on his couch and he woke me up at midnight when fireworks were going off in the street, and he gave me a quick smooch and i fell back asleep. Good times.
This year Alex and Misty were over and we played some games and ate snacks. Speaking of Misty and Alex, we FINALLY convinced some other family members to move to Idaho! woo hoo!! They bought a house and closed on the 17th! It's only like 15 min away from us and it's sooo cute!! I'm super happy for them.
I'm only dying a little inside when I post this but... I joined the terrible world of MLM. I know I know, I'm as ashamed as you are BUT let me give you my reasoning haha So I joined Jamberry Nails. They are high quality nail wraps (or nail stickers) If you just google or pinterest "jamberry" you'll see tons of pics. I joined because 1. I already buy the product because they're cute and I like them, and 2nd. no one else in my town sells them so there is a market for them, so... if I'm buying them I might as well make money doing it haha so I'm excited and.. I promise not to ask you to join my team ;) hahah But really, they are super cute, so if you're interested in buying some check out their tons of styles HERE be sure to buy them me so I can take a portion of your money. haha!
Anyway! January is the beloved month of my birthday!!! Jon has always wanted to take me to Jackson. And now that my anxiety is finally under control.. (yay for crazy pills!!) I was super excited and willing to go on a trip!

The roads were really bad so I as glad jon was driving.. haha

On our way we took a slight detour to go do some sealings at the Star Valley Temple. If you're wondering what the heck that means, go HERE to learn more :)
The blizzard was in full swing when we came out and we tried to take a picture but the snow was blowing straight into our faces. so they turned out super good.

Jon lookin super fly after the temple

As we finally approached Jackson we were admiring how fancy everything was- Jon, "The wells fargo's look like olive gardens!"

So when I booked the hotel, in the "special requests" section I put that it was my birthday.. and this was waiting for us in the hotel room! (no worries, the milk was in the fridge)

We of course had to go swimming.. which we only stayed like 10 mintues because as you can see it was the worlds smallest pool. The pictures online mustve been taken very strategically! because it looked a lot bigger haha but it was still fun. Also if that's not the best farmers tan you've ever seen... woo wee!

Just getting ice in style

Lookin fly at breakfast, jon was very embarrassed haha

Saturday morning getting ready to hit the town- had to make sure my boots looked good with my outfit.

We went out and about to see some animals
Theres a moose out there, I promise

a baby big horned sheep crossing the road

And here are some of our adventures exploring the shops-

Typical Jackson Pic-

We OF COURSE had to go bowling and I WON!! well.. one of the games.

If that's not perfect form, idk what is!
I admired some freakishly expensive candy while Jon explored a map of the town.

It was a very fun trip!! but all good things must come to an end.. on our way out we noticed some odd people entering the hotel as we were leaving.. good timing haha

We snuck into a Jackson ward for sacrament meeting.. and tried very hard to stay awake because it was 10,000 degrees in their chapel

On the car ride home we saw some elk, and the roads were much better than the way there.

It was a great trip!!! and a great January!!
Quotes from Jon-
"I could run a mile without a knee."
"Why is it called a tampon and not a tamp in?" (valid question)
And here are just a few more bits from January-
Me giving Ross a haircut out in the snow. Way classy.
Saw this gem parked in the church parking lot at Misty's baby blessing.
Found a mission picture of baby Jon.
Andd.... a typical picture of the cat staring at me with her soul.
Bye!
