Easter

Wow! These past few weeks have flown by! Flown is a word right?
Whatever. Jon and I have been busy busy! Some things have been changing, so our schedules are going to be lined up perfectly! Which will be awesome!
we'll actually get so see eachother! hooray!

First things first. My dear sweet car has died. actually just the battery (hopefully) so while we wait to fix that, I get to drive Jon's car. Which he has always claimed is "his wife's car" because its super girly. actually not really, its just very unmanly. haha
so anyway, the reason ive never driven it before is because its manual and I have no idea how to drive stick. So... he explained it to me last night before i fell asleep and then I just went for it the next morning on my way to work. Not as hard as I anticipated. so that was an adventure.

Anyway.
Some how we've been extremely lucky when it comes to buying appliances for our home.
And by lucky I mean blessed.
My parents neighbors just bought all new appliances so they were getting rid of their "old" ones.
(Still look brand new)
So hey, how about a fridge for $40. I'm okay with that.

It's kind of huge. Not sure where I'm going to put it yet.

Also the other day I didn't have to work till 3  and since the weather was absolutely amazing I decided to go out and explore the yard and play with the dogs, and at the bottom of our field there is a little pond. It was funny to see Rusty play in the water, and look what I found!
I tried to get Japser to go after it, but he swam too fast :)

Anywho Easter was awesome.

Let's get real for a second, Easter is the time to celebrate the resurection of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for the opportunity that we have to live again and be with our families forever! One of my favorite Easter Poems is Empty Linen. I first read it while I was sitting in the chapel in the Provo temple doing baptisms, reading out of the Ensign. And I loved it, then in the following conference, I believe it was President Monson that read that poem. I was so happy! And then for my birthday my mom gave me this- In a frame, and it's in my house.

Love it.

But now for the fun stuff! Easter was a busy day. It started off with my alarm going off at 6 so that I could get up and give Jon a haircut and then make cookies for the potluck at Grandmas. Needless to say I didn't get up until about 8 (it's physically impossible to get out of bed before the sun rises.)
But when I did finally get up, I noticed a little something on the fridge...

hahahha
This led me on an "early" morning egg hunt!!
Jon loved watching me search for the eggs, he couldn't stop laughing.
Apparently I still get as excited to find eggs as a little kid does.
Like I care though, I got 12 eggs filled with candy!

So after that, cookieless me, and long haired Jon hurried our way to go Grandma #1's house.
We went to her 9am church, the only time I question the truthfullness of the gospel is when church is at 9am.

Just kidding.
But seriously.

9am is hard stuff.
But we went to church then had another Easter egg hunt!
Which is a family tradition. They hide about 150 each year.
We found all except 2 and apparently that happens every year?
Sounds like a conspiracy to me.

Then we ate some amazingggg food and played kickball, which is another Easter tradition on the LaRue side. I'm not going to bother talking about which team won, because it wasn't mine.

After that we made our way to Grandma #2's house. We couldn't stay there too long because we had to go see my family of course!! So we ate some more good food and headed to my parents.

This was Rusty's first time going on a drive longer than 5 min in the truck. He doesn't get as excited as Jasper to go in the truck. He's rather be sitting on my lap in the front.

He thinks he's a lap dog.

I love seeing my family and spending time with them! We ate some candy, played with the dogs and then went to the farm to see my brother's goats, they just had babies!! Aren't they're the cutest things ever!? They look like little bunnies haha

You want one now don't you?

We also had the best dessert in the whole world, shout out to my mama for making what i like to call amazing love. I don't even know what it's really called because I just love it so much i call it amazing love. you should try it sometime.
I'm hungry just thinking about it.
It's so different when youre married and you have to go see everyone instead of just your family on holidays. Sometimes it's hard to fit everyone in, but we make it work. I love spending time with both Jon's family and of course my own.

So my latest conversion, although it wasn't because Jon influenced me,
I just tried them and loved them, are Sun Chips.
OH MY GOSH why didn't anyone ever force me to eat those? I missed out during my childhood, passing up sun chips for cheetos, or something ridiculous like that.
 I'm ashamed.

But oh well. Anyway time for Quotes from Jon:

After asking him to turn down the tv- "I can't hear over my cereal."

What?

Later!
