Hey, it's May!
May has been a great month! We celebrated Mother's day with both Jon's and my parents. The best part was when we decided to surprise my mom with a sleepover on Saturday night. Of course we got my dad in on it, so he left the front door open and we snuck in while they were watching a movie. And by "snuck in" i mean we quietly opened the door and then busted into the living room jumping and screaming "HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!" After the initial shriek of shock from her, it quickly turned into happy cheers :) I love my mom and mother in law, and am super grateful for them both! Wish i had taken some pictures while we were there!
Then May 22nd was my dad's birthday so we went down again to celebrate, again, no pictures. I'm not great at this. But it was a lot of fun! love my dad!
Things are turning green and it is getting beautiful outside! We plowed up the yard so we could re-plant the pasture. (of course red-neck style)

It was... semi successful haha
Daddy Jack and his son did some bonding. Which mostly consisted of the baby biting Jacks face.

We did some work with the colt, trying to get him more used to people. He's so cute!

We moved mama horse and baby (who still has no name, but is definitely a boy!) down to the neighbors pasture and they LOVED it!

Jack missed his girlfriend, and from our yard to the pasture where we brought them, he could still see them, so he spent a lot of time staring longingly at her.. oh yeah, and whinning all night.

We had another calf born!! I wasn't very creative this time around, so since our first bull calf born was named Joe, and this guy is also a bull calf, but not quite as big, I call him little Joe.

Speaking of babies... We got home from my parent's house on Sunday night (mothers day) and the next morning we woke up to puppies!!!!

10 of them!!! Quinny is a champ mama!
Unfortunately we did lose one pup, But 9 is still a huge litter.
Jon feeding the runt-

This poor mama.. haha sooo many babiessss

Proud dad!
Last, I did some house work- needed to update the paint on the doors. yikes! and ya'll know how i feel about red doors :)
Before and after:

Quotes from Jon:
"That's what I'm known for- versatility. versatility and awesomeness"
"We better lock the car, my gun is in there... and starwars." (his fav board game)
Oh yeah, and I chopped off 10 inches of hair.
Bye!

Sounds like a fun month! And LOVE your haircut!
